Terms of Service
What MedServe is
Medical Service International is a bulletin board: a listing service that helps medical professionals and service organizations find each other. MedServe is not a broker, staffing agency, employer, or placement service, and is not a party to any arrangement between volunteers and organizations.
What MedServe does not do
MedServe does not verify the licenses, credentials, or qualifications of any volunteer. MedServe does not vet, endorse, or investigate organizations beyond a basic anti-spam review before listing. MedServe does not verify the accuracy of any posting, including stated licensure requirements, costs, or conditions. A listing on MedServe is not a recommendation. MedServe does not read, verify, or act on the contents of a CV or resume you upload. Uploading a CV to your profile is not a background check, a credentialing step, or a verification of any kind, and does not become one no matter who views it.
Your responsibilities
If you volunteer through a connection made here, you are solely responsible for your own due diligence on the organization and the mission, for holding the licenses and authorizations required where you will serve, for your own health, travel, and liability insurance, and for your own travel arrangements and safety. If you represent an organization, you are solely responsible for verifying the credentials of volunteers you accept and for the accuracy of your postings. You are responsible for anything you upload to MedServe, including a CV, resume, photo, or video. Do not upload patient information or other protected health information, someone else’s personal document, or any other third party’s personal data without their permission.
Accounts and conduct
You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your credentials self-attestation honest, and not to misuse the platform (spam, scraping, harassment, or postings that are not genuine humanitarian medical missions). You agree not to upload content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else’s rights, or that contains patient information, protected health information, or another person’s private information without their consent. MedServe may suspend accounts or listings that violate these terms, and may remove any uploaded file or submission, without notice, that it believes violates these terms.
Content you submit
When you upload a CV, resume, photo, video, or written story to MedServe, you keep ownership of it. You grant MedServe a license to store it and, only for material you submit through the volunteer story form, to display it on our site if we choose to feature your story, in the form you sent it to us. You promise that you have the right to submit what you upload — that it is yours, or you have permission from whoever it belongs to — and, for any photo or video where someone else is identifiable, that you have gotten their consent before sending it to us. MedServe does not use a CV or resume you upload for anything beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy.
No warranty; limitation of liability
The platform is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MedServe disclaims all warranties and is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from missions, connections, or use of the platform. This includes content submitted by users of the platform, including uploaded CVs, photos, video, and stories — MedServe does not review, verify, or endorse this content and is not liable for it.
Donations
Donations to MedServe are voluntary contributions to a US 501(c)(3) nonprofit and are non-refundable except where required by law.
Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after changes means acceptance. Material changes will be announced on the site.
